Job Description
CONTRACT POSITION
MUST HAVE WIRELESS MICROWAVE BACKHAUL EXPERIENCE
DUTIES
- Participates in site visits, evaluates and makes recommendations during site selection process or may support site walk downs of existing sites to document detailed baseline of existing equipment and conditions in support of collocation or site modifications. Drafts conceptual sketch of site layout during site selection process.
- Supports reviews of customer provided design basis, assessing content and verifying completeness of direction received.
- Supports construction process as required.
- Tracks and observes all construction activities, tracks and approves subcontractor submittals and provides feedback regarding subcontractor performance, resource capability, workmanship and safety performance (is committed to Zero Accidents philosophy).
- Prepares daily reports, supports preparation of cell site turnover packages, prepares completion and turnover punch lists.
- Responsible for progress review meetings with subcontractor.
- Coordinates design changes with resident engineer, and reviews redline as-builts with contractors.
- Establishes and maintains positive client relationship.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in the wireless industry, to include: 3 years + of new site build experience in tenant improvement sites and/or on co-location or raw land sites, or 3+ years experience on overlay, E911, UMTS, antennae modifications or similar site upgrades. Experience in multiple areas and/or multiple years of experience in each area are preferred.
- Knowledge of construction (commercial and industrial work), engineering, procurement and other project related activities.
- Knowledge of basic subcontract administration skills.
- Proficiency in utilizing standard word and data processing programs
- Must have experience with Microwave backhauling
