Job Description



CONTRACT POSITION

MUST HAVE WIRELESS MICROWAVE BACKHAUL EXPERIENCE


Candidate will be primarily responsible for managing the deployment of a redundant microwave backhaul system, coordinating provisioning, scheduling testing, troubleshooting and certifying network transport. Will need to provide field support and technical guidance as required in support of the Construction functions and directly by the Market Manager.

DUTIES






  • Manage the Microwave overall project schedule, maintain current and forecasted status within the project database utilized to monitor execution progress and provide reporting for the assigned -Understanding of contract services and awarding work to outsourced entities


  • Develop scopes of work to be issued for proposals to General Contractors


  • Receive, validate and select proposals from General Contractors based on specified budget


  • Organizing scopes of work and ordering material for General Contractors and ensuring the work is completed on schedule


  • Monitor General Contractor installations to ensure they are maintaining quality workmanship


  • Manage and process General Constractor change orders and validate invoices based on scope progress


  • Participate in schedule and status review meetings as required (both internal and external)


  • Coordinate with customer transport group to minimize redesigns and mitigate as required


  • If applicable, manage the deployment of unlicensed Point to Point microwave circuits


  • When required, review feasibility studies to evaluate equipment restraints and mitigate potential construction constraints


  • Constantly aware of any major quality changes due to design evolution, scope change, etc


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS






  • All applicants must have the right to work and remain in the United States.


  • All applicants must have a current and valid drivers license.


  • Technical Diploma/equivalent or minimum fo 4-6 years of direct related experience in the wire line or wireless industry to include working with all aspects and layers of Data Transport Microwave Networks and RF cell site functionality in the field required.


  • Minimum 3-5 years knowledge and experience of the operation, installation and testing of Microwave Point to Point and Point to Multi- point circuits and associated equipment required.


  • Minimum 3-5 years knowledge and experience with frequency planning required.


  • Strong computer skill set required with an in depth knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel and Word required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS





  • Proficiency with the testing and accepting of DSO, DS1, DS3 and up to OC3 circuits preferred


  • Preferred to have successfully performed at least 75% of the above mentioned qualifications within the last 12 months and at least 50% of the duties within the last 36 months.


  • Familar with Motorola Microwave equipment preferred.
